Ancient Greece had many mathematicians, scientists, and philosophers. Three of these were Plato, Aristotle, and Hipparchus.

Plato was a Greek philosopher and the teacher of Aristotle. Plato’s most famous philosophy was his concept of forms. In the concept of forms, Plato said there exists only one perfect form of each object. He claimed that these perfect forms existed in another world, and not our own. This concept appeared in his book The Republic.

Aristotle was the student of Plato and the tutor of Alexander the Great. Aristotle is widely regarded as the last person to know everything in the world during his time. This means he was a very smart person and knew all the knowledge during his time known to man. He was the founder of the Lyceum, a school for educating Greeks.

Hipparchus was an astronomer. He is famous for discovering and naming over eight hundred and fifty new stars during his lifetime.
