Augustus was born in 63 BC in Rome His great-uncle was Julius Caesar who got assassinated in 44 AD. He was the very first emperor of Rome. Before he became emperor he formed the second triumverant which included himself, Lepidus and Antony. Julius Caesar created the first triumverant. Lepidus retired from the triumverant early, because Augustus and Antony’s continued bickering. After he left Augustus banished Antony to Egypt. When Antony was in Egypt he fell in love with Cleopatra as he was strengthening the army. Later he attacked Augustus but failed and Augustus let Antony and Cleopatra die together. After Augustus defeated Antony he declared him self the first Emperor. Augustus died in 14 AD
Hadrian was born in 76 AD in Hispania, which is modern day Spain. Hadrian was the emperor whom seceded Trajan. Hadrian was a very special emperor, because instead of staying in Rome he went traveling in the empire. Hadrian is remembered for building Hadrian’s Wall in England. Hadrian loved the Greeks so much he grew a beard like Greeks did. After Hadrian it became more popular to grow beards as an emperor. He was one of the five good emperors. The other ones were, Nerva, Trajan, himself, Marcus Aurelius and Antoninus Pius.
